Why We Love This

Midcentury four-panel Japanese screen of a dancing Japanese woman. Watercolor and gouache on paper. Piece displayed with black silk matting, a black wood frame, and painted black metal corners with cranes on the exterior edges. The first and fourth panels are covered with bronze silk on the reverse. Two other panels have been recovered on the back with dark gray paper at a later date. Metal hangers were added recently. Each panel is 36"H x 13"W.
