Why We Love This

Etiquette of the Dinner Table; With the Art of Carving. London: Frederick Warne, 1867. First Edition, scarce miniature book. 95 pp. A frontispiece and title page in color and 23 black-and-white illustrations in the section on carving, plus notes on dressing for dinner, table arrangements, invitations, and much more. A volume in the publisher's "Bijou Books" series. A lovely copy in flexible brown boards stamped gilt, and with all edges gilt as well.

About Barbara Farnsworth

My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
