Why We Love This

Weiluc started his career as a humor illustrator with La Caricature in 1896. From 1907 to 1909 he was the coordinator of the Salon des Humoristes, where he had been exhibiting for many years. In 1911, he became the director of the Société des dessinateurs humorists. This poster by Weiluc was one of the first created for the provocative magazine Frou-Frou, and brings into focus the feel of the "Naughty Nineties." This is an oversize, open-edition print of the original, produced using serigraphy on the highest-quality paper.
