Why We Love This

An oversize print of the original, from an open edition. This work was produced using serigraphy on the highest-quality paper. In his 40-year career, Cappiello created an average of two posters per month. He is credited with being the first to realize that a poster should not only catch the pedestrian's eye but the motorist's as well. You can see the influences of Cheret, Hassal, Hardy, and the Beggarstaffs in his works, which almost always feature a character in motion.
