You can keep your tree indoors for up to 4 months; water normally. If planting, find a sunny spot with good drainage. Set the top of root ball a half-inch above ground level. Plant roots and water. Spread mulch around the top of the planted tree. Keep mulch at least 2 inches away from the tree trunk. Keep tree moist, but not excessively wet. Water twice a week.
