An original watercolor painting from artist Evan Venegas’s “Day Map” series, which stems from the artist’s desire to deconstruct the world into simple, overlapping shapes while reconfiguring a more legible and beautiful whole. Watercolor allows the artist to convey subtle intricacies and inconsistencies in his subjects.
Venegas received his BFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute. He participated in the 2013 Governors Island Art Fair and was awarded a commission to participate in the inaugural season for Community Sponsored Art + Design Brooklyn. He lives and works in Queens, NY.
