Artist Bradley Wood creates ironic narratives filled with an eccentric cast of characters. Originally from Canada, Wood earned a BFA in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design, where he developed a painterly figurative style that embraces imperfection. He also studied conceptual art and new media installation at Cal Arts and art and design at Art Center, Switzerland. Wood has shown at galleries and museums in the New York City area, including the Bronx Museum. Named “Best Public Art” by Americans for the Arts Year in Review, 2004, Wood's work recently won runner-up in a juried competition at Field Projects Gallery in Chelsea.
