Alicia Adams Alpaca
Just by looking at this hand-knit pillow, you can't imagine just how wonderfully plush it is. But the wool is from Suri alpacas, a rare breed known for its exquisitely soft fleece. Adding to the luxurious, almost decadent feel is the lofty feather-and-down pillow insert.
Alicia Adams Alpaca Inc. raises a herd of more than 200 Suri alpacas at a beautiful farm in New York’s Hudson Valley. With about 80 acres, the farm is also home to Alicia Adams and her family. The alpacas are shorn yearly; the throws and pillows are created in the United States and in Peru, using the incredible handiwork of local artisans who perpetuate the pre-Incan tradition of working alpaca fibers.
