Why We Love This

The Early and Later Churchills by A. L. Rowse. Two volumes. London: Macmillan Co., 1956, second printing and 1958, first printing. Rowse's compelling history of a military family, whose roots have been intertwined with British history since the sixteenth century. From the triumphs of the Duke of Marlborough to Winston Churchill's leadership and relations with America, it is a gripping account. Slight foxing/browning to end pages, otherwise very good.
