Why We Love This

A vibrant oil painting of a vase of gladiolas and hydrangeas by Lucile Hanson Watson (American, 1885-1971). Signed 'L. Watson lower left. Watson was born in Kansas on 1885. By the 1930's she had settled in Long Beach and was teaching at Jefferson High School. She was a member of the Long Beach Art Association. Image, 14"H x 18"W. Displayed in its original gilt-wood frame with linen liner.
