Why We Love This

Large Japanese midcentury byobu (folding) screen with trees and an arbor. Made in the tradition of the Kano school. Watercolor on gold-leafed silk in four panels. Displayed in a metal frame with silk matting and four metal hangers on each panel. Two panels, 18.5"L x 36"H; two other panels, 17.5"L x 36"H.
