Why We Love This

Plate 6. Conferva Litoralis, Plate 11. Polypus Rotundus, and Plate 33. Conferva Nicrecens from Album Jacquard by Augustin Balleydier. Paris, 1856. Original lithograph printed in color after nature. Done as a 12-year project to serve as a source for the Jacquard weaving factory, these were also used in designs for other manufactured products displayed at the Exposition Universelle. Plates 6 and 33 are 14.25 " long x 10.5" wide. Plate 11 is oblong. Unframed.
