Why We Love This

Original 1971 lithograph poster for the classic Steve McQueen auto racing film Le Mans, that includes actual footage of the 1970 "24 Hours of Le Mans" auto race in Le Mans, France. American artist Tom Jung created this one-sheet movie poster. Jung is one the most prolific and beloved movie poster artists. In 1977, a few years after Le Mans, he created the iconic one sheet for Star Wars.

About Posteritati

Posteritati, named "the best place to be reminded that all film art isn't on-screen" by the Village Voice and voted one of SoHo's best independent shops by Time Out New York, is one of the world's premier dealers of vintage and contemporary movie art: "Any film poster fanatic will feel more than at home at Posteritati." As Vanity Fair puts it, Posteritati's Manhattan gallery is "home to more than 9,000 fine examples of American and international film-promotion."
