1940s cigarette still life with an abstract background by Illinois artist Dellard Cassity (1926-2008). Cassity focused on early academic and post-academic pieces from the 1940s-1950s prior to a lifelong dedication to Hard-edge abstraction and Optical Art. Unsigned. Displayed in a vintage wood frame with cream and yellow filet and dark brown sides using archival matting and etched non-glare glass. Hanging hardware included. Image, 12.5"L x 14"H.
