Why We Love This

"1970s photograph on board titled City Art 1 by New York-San Francisco photographer Roz Joseph (b. 1926). Inspired by the light and climate of the colorful city of San Francisco, Joseph began to examine with color photography the new subject of abstracted architecture and city scenes. These color architectural details became a series known as “City Art.” In 1991 Chronicle Books published a book of Roz Joseph’s architectural photography titled Details: The Architect’s Art. Displayed in a contemporary silver metal frame using etched non-glare glass and archival matting."

About Lost Art Salon

For the past 11 years, artists Rob Delamater and Gaetan Caron’s Lost Art Salon has been a hub of inspiration and affordable period artwork ( called it “an obsessive collector’s stash of original 20th-century works”). Their fine-art collection includes thousands of original works from rediscovered and historically significant 20th-century and contemporary artists, with all framing done in-studio. In this mix: desirable pieces from their most collectible artists, including their own works.
