About Nick Munro

Modern British designer Nick Munro has been a busy man since he graduated from Nottingham University and The Royal College of Art in London. Nick's graduation show won him a 12-month sponsorship from the Duchess of Westminster to develop his designs into production, and a year later he set up his own company with a loan from Prince Charles' Youth Business Trust. Nick Munro designs have since been featured in many prestigious exhibitions, publications and books, winning several commendations, including the Shell UK Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the coveted New York Accent on Design Award. He has also opened two shops in London and one in New York. Nick uses a broad variety of materials, including wire, pewter, wood, silver plate and ceramics. Using art forms and methods forgotten or overlooked in mass manufacture, Nick Munro blends these skills with modern design principles, creating a timeless mixture of tradition and modernity.
