Why We Love This

This compilation of 44 classic children's stories is a brilliant way to introduce kids to Madeline, Mike Mulligan (and his steam shovel, of course), Stellaluna, the Sneetches, Ferdinand the Bull, Amelia Bedelia, and scores more favorite characters and stories. Although some of the illustrations have been excluded, the tales are here in their entirety, along with a list of picture books "too good to miss" that have been published since the original version of this treasury debuted in 1996.
