About Kata Golda

In 1999, inspired by the color and texture of hand-dyed wool felt, Alison Kaplan started making toys for her baby girl. As her daughter grew, Kaplan made her first sketch book, decorated with a hand-stitched felt teddy bear and adorned with her name. It became the forerunner of the Kata Golda collection. As adorable as Kata Golda products are, they're also eco-friendly: By using every little scrap of material and reusing supplies as much as possible, Kata Golda strives to produce zero waste and have the lowest impact on the environment possible.
