Why We Love This

Historic Taxca Chapel amidst the rolling green hills of the Mexican landscape. Oil on canvas by 20th-century American artist Pietro (Peter) Pezzati (1902-1993). An East Coast native, Pezzati won a scholarship to attend Child-Walker School of Art Crafts in Boston. His prolific landscape paintings have been exhibited at The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Harvard and the Smithsonian, with permanent works on exhibition at Yale University and The National Gallery, DC. Oil in original wood frame.

About Carol Sweetzer

As a buyer in my family's antiques business, art and antiques have been my passion for more than 30 years. In 1988 I opened my own store, Carol Sweetzer, to share treasures with existing clients and introduce new collectors to the paintings, prints, engravings, antiques and decorative collectibles which I find in English, French and local markets. I have been featured in many newspapers and magazines and served as a museum art appraiser. I am excited to bring my finds to One Kings Lane.
