Why We Love This

A lithographic map taken from Friedrich Arnold Brockhaus’ Konversationslexikon, which was first published in 1812. Map dates between 1894 and 1904. The encyclopedia contained 16 or more volumes per edition, with over 18,000 pages of text, illustration, and maps. Brockhaus remains a cultural icon of Germany. Displayed in a frame with wood molding, a cream mat, and UV glass.
