Why We Love This

With blurred forms and luminous highlights, artist Philip Barlow perfectly captures the look of a sunlit city street. This is a print of the artist's original work, rendered on gallery-wrapped canvas and set in a handsome wood floater frame.

About the Brand

Based in Noordhoek Cape Town, South Africa, Philip Barlow has worked as a painter for most of his life. After spending several years in Europe, he returned to South Africa to paint murals and work on public and private commissions. Although based in a long artistic tradition, Barlow’s landscapes blur the line between the physical and spiritual realms, exploring places beyond the “seen” landscape. Light, a central element of Barlow’s work, "is the ultimate subject because it embodies the pinnacle of all reality," he says. Barlow is currently at work on pieces for solo and group exhibitions. His works are held in both national and international collections.
