Why We Love This

A striking reproduction of the original 1911 work. Russian by birth, Marc Chagall was educated in St. Petersburg and Paris, eventually emigrating to France in 1923. Although influenced early on by Russian Expressionism and French Cubism, Chagall created a style unique to the 20th century. His mastery of color suffuses his paintings and prints as well as the stained glass he designed for European cathedrals.
