Why We Love This

Midcentury watercolor canal scene of Venice, Italy by CA Expressionist painter and sculptor Ross Curtis (1918-2007). Curtis was the co-founder of an intimate group of noted Northern California artists known as the “Sausalito Teahouse Group.” He painted the countryside of Marin and Sonoma Counties. In the early 1950s, while in Morelia, Mexico, Curtis studied under the Mexican revolutionary muralist Alfredo Zalce. Signed, lower right. Unframed. Shipped with standard archival mat.
