Why We Love This

Created for a 1956 exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh, this work was reproduced in 1959 as a stunning five-color lithograph by the celebrated Atelier Mourlot in Paris. The work has been handsomely framed and matted.
Regarded as one of the founders of Cubism, Braque was intrigued by the idea of “multiple perspectives.” His work is found in all of the world's great museums, and he remains a true giant of 20th-century art.
