A beautiful poster created for an exhibition at the Galerie des Ponchettes in Nice. This is a ten-color lithograph of the original work, printed by the celebrated Atelier Mourlot in Paris in 1959. The piece has been handsomely framed and matted.
Educated in St. Petersburg and Paris, Russian-born artist Marc Chagall emigrated to France in 1923. Though influenced early on by Russian Expressionism and French Cubism, Chagall created a style unique to the 20th century. His mastery of color suffuses his paintings and prints, as well as the stained glass designs he created for European cathedrals.
