Why We Love This

Created by Fernand Léger for an exhibition at the Morsbroich Museum in Leverkusen, Germany, this beautiful three-color lithograph was printed by the celebrated Atelier Mourlot in Paris in 1959. The work has been handsomely framed and matted.
A pioneering figure of the Parisian modern art scene, Fernand Léger moved from Cubist-tinged abstraction in the 1910s toward a realist style in the mid-20th century.
