This photo of Rolling Stone drummer Charlie Watts and lead singer Mick Jagger was taken at the Philadelphia Spectrum in June 1972 during its S.T.P. tour. After serving as a combat photographer in Vietnam, Art Reilly turned his lens to rock-and-roll, photographing concerts when not handling lighting, sound, or video for such disparate entities as Bruce Springsteen, the National Bowling Hall of Fame, the MTV Music Video Awards, and two presidential inaugurations. In 2005 he won an Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Live Event Audio, but he declares that his "real love is and always has been photography."
