Why We Love This

A fine print of Picasso’s work, set off in a gesso-and-wood frame. The frame was hand-finished in lemon silver by craftsmen using traditional 17th-century Florentine techniques.
One of the most innovative artists of the 20th century, Pablo Picasso exerted an enormous influence on the development of modern art. A principal founder of Cubism, Picasso also produced striking neoclassical works and line drawings. The artist's career was long and prolific, resulting in a legacy that continues to resonate today. These works are 1962 linocuts - commissioned by Picasso himself.
