Why We Love This

Early Staffordshire pie dish with embossed edging. The darker yellow glaze on the very bottom is intentional, meant to make it more heat resistant. This shape is known as an early pie dish, but is suited for serving most anything. Early Staffordshire Maker's mark on underside. Made circa 1820.
