Why We Love This

A vintage etching from the artist's original work, printed at Atelier Mourlot in the 1970s on fine rag paper. Laurencin's sensitive linework perfectly captures a loving moment between two young girls. The mistress of French poet Guillaume Apollinaire and a close friend of Picasso and Gertrude Stein, Laurencin was an important figure in the Parisian avant-garde. She was part of the circle of writers and artists who frequented the legendary gatherings at the Stein salon. Custom frame.
