Why We Love This

Midcentury Tendo Mokko-style chrome rocker. The high, sculptural, padded back and deep seat make this a comfortable and beautiful piece. Reupholstered using a vintage handwoven Southwestern textile and vintage Army surplus canvas. Original Army surplus markings and seams have been incorporated into the piece, with the U.S. stamp centered on the back of the rocker.

A quiet Europhile bookworm raised in a Southern California beach town, Summer Meza always imagined she had been born in the wrong time and place. Out of this culture clash, MODERNHAUS was born. Marrying the worlds of fine art and literature with the bohemian handicrafts and surf culture of her home, Summer curates an intelligent and irreverent collection for One Kings Lane in which originality is paramount.
