Why We Love This

A classic Pani table with the strong lines of solid brass combined with the eglomise glass to enhance and soften the lines. A beautifully crafted table which in the midcentury through the 1970s was considered one of the most prestigious here in Mexico City. No doubt greatly influenced by his years of study at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Pani’s designs were often rather exuberant but in this table from the 1960s, the tone is quite subtle and elegant. 59"l x 28"w x 14"h.

Carol Romano's treasure-packed shop Insh'ala in San Miguel de Allende has evolved over twelve years from purely Moroccan imports to an alluring collection from Mexico, Turkey, Syria, Central Asia, and beyond... impressively eclectic, in every sense of the word. A New York native, Carol moved to Mexico in 1995, working with local artisans to design tabletop products. Her travels to North Africa inspired what has now become Insh'ala, San Miguel's premier source for the most unique home treasures.
