Why We Love This

Large chinoiserie ice chest on separate stand with original, removable liner and removable lids. Can function as a planter, and, with lids in place, an end table. Though unmarked, similar ice chests were imported from Hong Kong in the 1950s and 1960s and used as planters for large plants or small trees. Wood in excellent condition, brass has a lovely patina.
