A richly detailed rendering of a peacock against a warm peach background. An archival giclée reproduction of the original work by Isabelle de Borchgrave, this piece is beautifully framed in distressed-gold molding.
Belgian artist Isabelle de Borchgrave is known for her color-rich paintings that recall hues from Egypt, Greece, and Turkey, and for her imaginative paper sculptures. Her work spans the mediums of fashion, painting, and the decorative arts; her projects have included making roses for John Galliano’s couture designs and recreating Jackie Kennedy’s wedding dress for the JFK Library and Museum. De Borchgrave trained in Brussels at the Centre des Arts Décoratifs and the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts.
