Why We Love This

Beautiful pillow made from fabric on a backstrap loom by artisans from Chiapas, Mexico. The front of the pillow features straps of cream fabric woven in a traditional design that are then woven together. There is cream blanket stitching around the perimeter of the pillow. Front and back of the pillow feature the same blue fabric. Exposed brass bottom zipper closure.

About Alegria Home

After nearly a decade in NYC, textile designer Allison Jones found herself in Mexico City. Supporting her husband in a tour abroad, she soon discovered the rich textile traditions of Latin America. Shortly after arriving, she connected with artisans in Mexico and Guatemala and thus began Alegria Home. Alegria, meaning "joy" in Spanish, defines the company’s philosophy. Alegria supports artisans in developing countries and helps give them a market for their beautiful products.
