Why We Love This

Watercolor abstract on mat by Alice Goldfarb Marquis (American, 1930 - 2009). Signed and titled She-noiserie VII on verso. Dr. Marquis loved art and history and was a longtime community journalist. She enrolled at what was then San Diego State College where she majored in Fine Art. After graduating in 1966, she taught journalism and photography. She earned a doctorate in Modern European History from the University of California, San Diego. Unframed in overmat. Image, 30"H x 10"L.
