Why We Love This

Late 20th-century oil on canvas abstracted figure by Swedish artist Anna Poole (1960-2012). Poole re-imagined the classic Bay Area figurative themes of water and bathing with a sensual spirit and a primal energy. After leaving Sweden to study at the SF Art Institute, she spent a big part of her life living on a houseboat in the San Francisco Bay with her husband, and exploring the islands of Panama together. Unframed. Estate stamped with artist signature on reverse. Hanging hardware included.
