Why We Love This

A fine-art reproduction of "Anthropometrie" (1960) by Yves Klein. An important French artist in postwar Europe, Klein was a leading member of the Nouveau Réalisme movement founded in 1960 by art critic Pierre Restany. Klein experimented with various methods of applying paint; using rollers and later sponges, he created a series of varied surfaces. This experimentation would lead to a number of works Klein made using female models covered in blue paint, using the models as "living brushes." Klein dubbed this type of work "Anthropometry." Custom frame.
