Steven Stolman, Scalamandré

TASTEMAKER TAG SALES: Textiles, Upholstered Furniture & More
Steven Stolman, Scalamandré
Designer, writer, and all-around style provocateur Steven Stolman brings his unique point of view to the house of Scalamandré, as president of America’s most august textiles company. "I've always taken exquisite interiors for granted,” he says, “but I now appreciate the sweat equity that goes into their creation!" Well known for popularizing the use of decorative fabrics for stylish ready-to-wear, the erstwhile fashion designer seemed predestined for interior design. "If you saw a gal walking down the street in a toile dress,” he adds, “chances are it was mine!"
Unless otherwise noted, these pieces are antique, vintage, or gently used.
