Prints & Patterns

    • Try a Little Bit of Pattern

Pillows are noncommittal, making them the perfect accessory to try out pattern. Start with just one pillow on a neutral chair. Pick a print that adds dimension to the overall space but also plays off the colors already in the room.

      • Try a Little More Pattern

Juxtapose a patterned pillow with another print that exists in the room. Choose a pillow that has similar colors as the print you are layering against. Mixing large and small-scale patterns keeps things interesting.

        • Try a Lot of Pattern

A white or solid-colored sofa makes the perfect base for an array of pretty pillows. Incorporate a few of the same design, or experiment with a variety. For the most pulled-together effect, each should share a color with at least one other pillow.
