    • Courteney's Vintage Is:

      Modern & Classic

Courteney Cox’s Malibu home looks like a testament to the contemporary, but mixed in are choice bits of vintage—a lamp here, a chair there. “Whenever I think about what draws me to vintage pieces, I have to say it’s because I love the contrast between things that are modern and classic and those that really tell a story,” she says.

      • Courteney's Vintage Is:

        Simple & Organic

“My attraction to classic design definitely extends to my color palette; I love lots of gray, white, and black,” says Cox. “If I were to describe my design style, I would say that it’s a mix between organic, modern, simple and warm. Most importantly, I want people to immediately feel comfortable once they walk through the door.”

        • Busy's Vintage Is:

          Eclectic & Playful

The pieces in Busy Philipps’ Los Angeles home are so perfectly mixed it’s hard to tell what’s vintage and what’s not. What the pieces share is each is unique. “I am always looking for vintage treasures–whether it’s decorative accessories or furniture.” she says. “My husband and I are constantly looking for something unique and different for our home.”

            Colorful & Unique

“Vintage pieces have a way of completely changing a room, and add a layer of history and interest you can’t get from something new,” says Philipps. Her home’s layered look is partly the result of shopping serendipity. “Even if the thing I discover wasn’t something I was looking for, I always seem to find a place for a great piece in my home.”
