      • East Village Eclectic

A gem of a shop on East Second Street, Cafiero Select offers a refined mix of 19th- and 20th-century classics, late-century modern, Asian antiques, and custom pieces from some of today’s most most creative and influential designers and manufacturers. With its rich color, character, and irresistible carved texture, this crimson tray was Wendy’s favorite find at this stop.

        • Mid-Manhattan Mecca

A time-honored resource on the design circuit, the Manhattan Art & Antiques Center on Second Avenue and 56th Street yielded an abundance of treasures that spoke to Wendy—from strings of pearls (a Wendy favorite) with the perfect shape and heft to this moody framed seascape with turbulent skies.

          • Elegant Epicurean

A gorgeous French culinary institution on 52nd Street between Fifth and Madison, La Grenouille is like a home away from home for generations of New Yorkers—albeit a home filled with a fantasy of fresh flowers daily, paintings (many by second-generation owner Charles Masson Jr. himself), and Gallic gourmet fare. “It’s the one place in New York that hasn’t changed,” says Wendy, a lifelong fan of the authentic decor, art, and flowers.

            • Whimsy in Williamsburg

Wendy is a huge fan of the ceramics of Paula Greif, a former graphic designer who’s been described as a Brooklyn-based Renaissance woman. We found this stash at Beautiful Dreamers in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Imaginative, organic, playful, and sculptural, Paula’s cool and collectible pieces combine to create the perfect artisanal kitchen.

              • Breakfast in Brooklyn

Marlow & Sons in Williamsburg, Brooklyn—a café by day, a raw bar and restaurant after dark—is a quirky eatery that’s packed with charm. This is one of Wendy’s favorite New York City venues for her morning meal of choice: a biscuit with scrambled eggs, cheese, and bacon.

                • NoHo Nordic

A skillfully edited store specializing in Scandinavian furniture, Dienst + Dotter, downtown at 411 Lafayette Street, perfectly masters the mix of vintage and modern. Wendy fell in love with the aesthetic and the impeccable curation of this shop. She sourced the amazing Swedish tables in our sale here.
