4' x 6'9" Antique Art Deco Rug - Eli Peer Oriental Rugs - blue/gold/multi
This handwoven Art Deco carpet was made in China, circa 1930's or 1940's. Walter Nichols was a great American rug producer in Tientsin. The rugs, made of wool and silk with bold vibrant colors, are pictorial scenes with trees, birds, clouds, mountains, dragons, butterfly and flowers. The production of Art Deco rugs started from 1910's-1950's and mostly with western influence.
