1960s Turkish rag rug. Handwoven in Western Turkey using remnants of vintage fabrics made from wool, cotton, hemp, and silk. Woven by tightly interweaving the warp and weft strands of the weave to produce a flat surface with no pile. Generally woven on horizontal looms, this weaving technique produces crisp designs.
