    18th-C. English Deed Box - Black Sheep Antiques

    More Details 18th-century English oak deed box with a two-plank, banded top which lifts to reveal a storage compartment. The compartment is over a shallow drawer, which would have been used for deeds or other valuable documents. There are two different locks, both with working keys. The front and sides are hand-carved decorated and the back is finished, but not carved. The hinges were replaced at a later date. Age wear, shrinkage.

    More Details English Victorian/Edwardian jewelry box, circa 1900. Crimson red leather exterior, deep emerald silk velvet-lined interior with compartments and two drawers. Accented with handmade hardware, a monogrammed plaque, and Bramah lock (without key). Established in 1784, the locks produced by his company were famed for their resistance to lock picking and tampering, marked "Bramah London."
