    More Details A French earthenware, majolica glazed asparagus and artichoke plate, a mold by Salins – circa 1900-1910. A spray of asparagus spears lay across the center of the plate, an artichoke globe with leaves cover one side of the rim. The other side of the rim is scalloped with a shallow sauce well. Unmarked. The expected signs of surface wear seen in faïence. No chipping or cracking.

    More Details A majolica glazed Palissy style earthenware seaweed and shells oyster plate made by George Jones, Stoke-on-Trent, circa 1870.Six pink edged scallop shells surround a central sauce well and rest on the back sides of smaller shells. Raised green seaweed tipped in red is hand painted, spiral shells are molded on the front of the plate. The red iron oxide painters number on the verso.The expected darkening to the lighter areas, an overall fine craquelure.
