    More Details This 1850's English highboy chest is made of pine wood and stained a rich walnut color with a polished finish. The chest is unique because the top two drawers have a hidden trunk, accessed by opening the wooden top. Below the chest are three drawers with ample storage space. The drawers are accented with two brass drawer pulls and a keyhole plate. The highboy has moulding accents along the top and the base.

Brass hardware. Good polished and restored condition, w/normal age and use wear, surface imperfections, shrinkage and marks. Top has thin wood splice to fill shrinkage separation at lamination line.
