As described by Billy Blue Eye

Beswick Pottery, founded in 1892, is known for its animal figurines and for its inventive and original art pottery vases, jugs and service ware. This dish was designed in 1938 by Mr. Symcox. It is heavily influenced by Art Deco forms and lines and has one rim turned under. The semi-matte finish is soft to the touch and the intricate glaze pattern in hypnotic. The underside is incised "Made in England, Beswick - 627."
