A sweet petite collection of 10 volumes: The Wit and Humor of America edited by Marshall P Wilder. New York: Funk Wagnalls Company, 1911. Hardcovers with dust jacket- two with substantial tears. Red cloth covers with some fading. Stories, prose and verse of notable 19th and early-20th century American wit. Each volume has a different frontispiece portrait including: Vol 1 - Marshall P. Wilder; Vol. 2 - James Whitcomb Riley; and Vol. 3 - Samuel L. Clemens (Mark Twain).
