As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

Free Fall by William Golding. London: Faber Faber, 1960. Second printing. Golding's fourth novel, a complex adult work, after his huge success with Lord of the Flies. A study of the relationship between two intellectuals after the war, with the main character living on the edge of a visionary mental collapse. Book has slight aging and jacket shows some edge wear, with a lovely design by Anthony Gross.
